The Urantia Revelation: The Structure and Meaning of the Universe Explained

In reality The Urantia Book is little known, although in continuous publication since 1955 and since 2006 in the public domain and on the Internet in many languages. The Urantia Book is downloadable for free so you can put it on your iPod and listen while at the gym. I’ve known enough people in my life who were seekers, looking for the truth about themselves and the world around them, trying to find real answers to big questions, trying to find out about the human past, and about how to lead their lives. Occasionally I’ve recommended that they have a look at The Urantia Book, or put it on their electronic device, but they never do, or buy it but do not study it.

It takes about a year of daily, dedicated study to get through The Urantia Book. Although reading it probably changes you, The Urantia Book is for most people too big, too long, too unfamiliar, and much too strange. The book is massive and sometimes exceedingly abstract.

In this book I present a digest of what The Urantia Book says, avoiding as much as possible the context of my own experience, trying to keep myself out of it, working as a disinterested reporter, although I will sometimes put in historical dates familiar from modern scholarly research. Not to say everything The Urantia Book says—the book is for that—but the gist of it, the big picture, the main outlines of the story. As such this book should serve as an introduction and guide to The Urantia Book, or as a simplified and accessible substitute, a vade mecum for those wishing to know what was revealed in the fifth epochal revelation on Planet Earth.
